Lewis “Randy” Gridley
Lewis “Randy” Gridley, MBA, CFP(TM) is founder and Principal of Gridley Associates Inc. He started his financial planning practice after a successful twenty-year career on Wall Street, most recently as a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston. During that time, he worked closely with institutional money managers focused primarily on fixed income and related options and derivative products. His career included stints in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. This experience has given Randy a real insider’s perspective of the money management world.
Born and raised in the Northeast, Randy holds a BA from the University of Vermont and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia Graduate School of Business in New York. He earned his CFP(TM) designation in 1999 after receiving certification from the College of Financial Planning. Randy is past President and Chairman of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and has made appearances on radio and television on Financial Planning related topics. In addition, he is an active member of the national Financial Planning Association and involved in numerous pro bono activities related to his practice. Randy worked as an Adjunct Professor and the former Interim Head of the Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University in San Francisco where he taught graduate level courses in financial planning.
Randy serves on the Board and Investment Committee of one of San Francisco’s oldest charitable organizations and has been an active participant in fund raising activities for several educational and charitable organizations. Randy is a resident of Sausalito, spending his free time sailing and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
